Security Council meeting chaired by the First President of Kazakhstan
The meeting considered issues of ensuring the information security of the country and the socio-economic development of Aktobe region.
- The lead question is cybersecurity. The subject is challenging. These days, compared to mainstream media, the Internet prevails, the social media including. On the one hand, this is a good trend. There is a lot of information and training on the Internet. On the other hand, there are threats associated with ensuring cybersecurity, said the Leader of Nation.
The President of the Security Council emphasized the importance of studying international experience in the field of information security.
- We need to learn from the experience of other countries in this matter. On the one hand, this development must be supported, but at the same time it is vital to ensure people’s safety, said the First President of Kazakhstan.
Having listened to information on the second item on the agenda, Nursultan Nazarbayev focused on certain aspects of developing the transit and transport potential of Aktobe region.
In addition, the Leader of Nation pointed out the need to provide an enabling environment for advancing entrepreneurship and human capital in the region.
There were also issues of creating an agro-industrial hub of the western macro-region considered by the meeting participants.
Relevant instructions were given to the Government and the administration of Aktobe region based on the results of the Security Council meeting.
