Nursultan Nazarbayev receives Asset Issekeshev, Assistant to the President and Secretary of the Security Council
During the meeting, Elbasy emphasized the Security Council’s key role in coordinating the actualization of a unified state policy in the field of ensuring national security and the country's defense.
- The Security Council is a very important state body, which, first, analyses and submits for consideration security issues, both within the country and abroad. This includes questions regarding the work of law enforcement agencies, ensuring food security, relations with foreign countries, and defence capabilities. In addition, it is important to focus on the law enforcement system reform and bring it to the end, said the First President of Kazakhstan.
In turn, Asset Issekeshev reported on the current situation in the country and presented information on work plans for 2020.
Following the meeting, the President of the Security Council has given a number of specific instructions.
