- Previous year ended with good performance. Almaty is the largest metropolis of Kazakhstan. I know that there are many problems in the city. But they have always been. They are issues of ecology, transport, development of small and medium-sized businesses, migration and employment. These problems have been known to us for a long time. It is important to solve them on a systematic basis, said Nursultan Nazarbayev.

The First President of Kazakhstan has also drawn attention to the need to provide the growing population of the city with social facilities as hospitals, schools, kindergartens.
